Beware the Washers and Pressers

Some banknotes are washed to imrove their grading. Most sellers avoid this practice but sometimes you can buy a washed note as the seller is not aware what has happened. Washed banknotes are a bit like thicker paper and have a very different ‘feel’. Some sellers can be unscrupulous so it is important to ask questions if in any doubt. A note can be pressed naturally through storage. Sometimes pressing is done to remove creases and again, to improve the grading. This T20 is lightly pressed and looks AEF. However, the seller has described it correctly as lightly pressed and in VF condition. It is your money that is spent in buying notes, so never be afraid to ask questions about the banknotes you want to buy. Gang canny!t20
