Under the Floorboards, a British Banknote Hoard

A few days ao I was offered a collection of three hundred B249 and B251 Peppiatt notes which had been found in a house when it was being rewired The previous occupant had lived there all his life. The finder asked me for a valuation which I gave in person as the house was a few miles from home. I did make an offer but it was rejected. Most of the notes were toned and soiled and worth little and a few were in decent condition but it would have taken a long time to shift them. I was disappointed but one thing for sure is that at times, under floorboards, in cases under the bed and in the attic, there are hidden treasures awaiting a finder.
