British Banknotes and the Osprey

I was bird watching recently near Uppingham in Rutland. I saw Yellowhammers, Skylarks, Chaffinches, Bramblings and so many other birds. The highlight of the day was the sight of an Osprey, flying over the water in a slow, steady flight. It was my first sighting of this raptor which is nesting on Rutland Water. It was an amazing moment. Sometimes, a rare banknote can give a collector a real thrill when it is held in the hand for the first time. Such a note like the Osprey has the ‘Wow’ factor. Have a browse of the site as there are some wonderful notes. One is the £100 Clydesdale Bank and another a very appealing Bradbury T1.
