A Uniform Penny Post did not last for too long and nowadays, postage charges vary so much. Ebay alone will offer dozens of options. I offer free GB postage but the cost varies, with extra ‘insurance’ being paid to cover high value items. Overseas post, sent by Special Delivery (Track and Trace) seem secure but I have ‘lost’ a number of items in recent times and found out that the overseas postage by Special Delivery only gave me £50 compensation. I now increase my insureance to the limt of £250 but this does not cover much of the cost of items posted should they go missing. I shall be exploring other carriers – not pigeons – so if anyone has any suggestions, do let me know.
